Consultation Fees

The fee for a Psychological Consultation is $227.55 for a 50-60 minute session.

Mental Health Care Plan Medicare rebate is $129.55 (leaving a gap of $98).

Private Health Rebates will vary depending on your cover, as such it's best to consult your health fund.

NDIS or work cover clients with approved psychology will have no out of pocket fees.

Concession rates are available for health care card holders and students.

Individual therapy

Therapy seeks to support an individual to:

  • Improve mood and sense of purpose in life.

  • Move out of patterns of depression, anxiety, stress, worry and trauma.

  • Manage major life events and transitions.

  • Explore who they are, what's important to them and where they want to take their lives.

This will involve an initial assessment followed by ongoing sessions using evidence based therapies to support someone to improve mental health difficulties and move towards the life they want to live.

Letters and Reports

Requests for letter and reports by clients for legal or other purposes will incur a fee based on the recommended APS rate. This generally excludes communication with other medical professionals that relate to ongoing treatment as this is part of best practice care.

Payment

Fees are to be paid in full on the day of your appointment. Eftpos, and electronic Medicare facilities are available for payments. Electronic Medicare facilities process your Medicare Rebate directly into your Cheque or Savings Account.

Medicare and Private Health Rebates

A Medicare Mental Health Care Plan from your GP allows for 6-10 sessions, and will require a review from your GP after 6 sessions.

Various private health funds provide rebates for psychological services.  As Private Health Insurers vary in their  levels of cover and rebates offered, you would need to check with your insurer to find out what your policy may provide.

Cancellations

A minimum of 24 hours notice is required for cancellations. It is understood that sometimes people are unable to attend at late notice but we reserve the right to charge a fee for late cancellations.
